The Grid Concierge Services Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Grid Concierge, a service provided by Modern Mom Lab. By submitting an application, purchasing our concierge services, or working with any Family Virtual Assistants (FVAs) referred through The Grid, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Nature of Services
The Grid Concierge is a matching and onboarding support service. We review your application, gather information about your household needs, and provide curated matches with FVAs who we believe align with your skills, preferences, rhythms, and family structure.
You acknowledge that The Grid Concierge:
• Does not employ the FVAs.
• Does not supervise, manage, or oversee the performance of FVAs.
• Does not participate in payment, contracts, negotiations, or employment arrangements between you and any FVA.
All hiring and ongoing working relationships are solely between you and the FVA you choose.
2. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Our matches are based on our experience, expertise, and the information you provide. While we take great care in reviewing applications, interviewing FVAs, and making thoughtful recommendations:
We do not guarantee any specific results, performance, skills, outcomes, hours, availability, or longevity of any working relationship with an FVA.
Your success with any FVA depends entirely on your communication, expectations, systems, and ongoing management.
3. Background Checks
The Grid Concierge partners with a third-party background check provider.
You acknowledge and agree that:
• We are not liable for the accuracy, findings, omissions, delays, or errors within any background check report.
• We do not independently verify or interpret the results.
• We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the background check.
Any hiring decisions are fully your responsibility.
4. Privacy & Sensitive Information
To deliver matching services, you may share lifestyle details, schedules, routines, and household needs. In return:
• We do not request or require access to your financial accounts, passwords, medical records, or other sensitive personal data.
• You agree not to send us login information, banking credentials, social security numbers, or confidential documents.
• We are not liable for any information you voluntarily disclose beyond what is requested during intake.
Your interactions, data, and agreements with FVAs are outside our control and responsibility.
5. Replacement Match Policy
We offer one complimentary replacement match under the following conditions:
Eligibility Requirements:
• You must notify us within 14 days of your initial match if the fit is not working.
• You must have watched the FVA training modules and onboarding videos in full prior to requesting a replacement.
• You must participate in our requested feedback process so we can make an informed second match.
Only one complimentary replacement match is included.
Additional match requests may require purchasing a new concierge service.
6. Payment Policy
Payment is required at the time of application submission. Concierge fees are nonrefundable.
Once a match has been delivered, no refunds, chargebacks, credits, or partial refunds will be issued for any reason.
We do not guarantee that you will hire an FVA, and the concierge fee covers the matching and support process—not the outcome of your hiring decision.
7. Family Responsibilities
To ensure the matching process is accurate and effective, you agree to:
• Provide complete, honest, and up-to-date information in your application.
• Respond to questions and communication from our team in a timely manner.
• Watch all onboarding and FVA training modules to learn how to effectively utilize your FVA.
• Communicate directly with FVAs about expectations, scheduling, performance, compensation, contracts, and household policies.
We are not responsible for miscommunication between you and any FVA.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Modern Mom Lab, The Grid Concierge, and its team members are not liable for:
• Actions, errors, omissions, performance, or conduct of any FVA.
• Losses, damages, disputes, or claims arising from your relationship or contract with an FVA.
• Personal, household, legal, financial, or property matters involving an FVA.
• Decisions made by you based on background checks, interviews, or recommendations.
• Issues arising from misuse or sharing of your personal information with an FVA or other third party.
In short: We introduce. You hire, manage, supervise, and remain responsible for your household.
9. Intellectual Property
All FVA training modules, templates, worksheets, onboarding tools, and video trainings provided through The Grid Concierge are for your personal use only. You may not share, copy, resell, or distribute these materials.
10. Modification of Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
11. Independent Contractor Acknowledgment
You acknowledge and agree that Family Virtual Assistants (FVAs) are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Modern Mom Lab or The Grid Concierge.
You further agree that you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws related to your engagement with any FVA, including but not limited to:
• contractor or employment classification
• tax withholding or reporting
• insurance requirements
• wage, hour, or labor laws
All legal, financial, and practical responsibilities of your working relationship with an FVA belong exclusively to you.
12. Dispute Resolution / Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes arising out of or related to The Grid Concierge, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Grid Concierge and all related materials, tools, and services are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
• implied warranties of merchantability
• fitness for a particular purpose
• non-infringement
• results, outcomes, or performance guarantees
No advice, recommendation, or communication from us shall be interpreted as creating any warranty not expressly stated here.
14. Entire Agreement / Severability
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Modern Mom Lab regarding The Grid Concierge services.
If any provision is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Acknowledgment of Agreement
By purchasing The Grid Concierge, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
